ENTRY WAY OUTSIDE OF THE GREAT HALL
Narcissa smirked and gave a small shrug of her shoulders. "You actually never told me what made you ask me to the dance. I think that's why I thought Lucius had-". She stopped, not even wanting to rehash it again. It was unfair of her to think less of Severus, that he was low enough to do Lucius' every bidding. She had to admit, she was impressed that Severus didn't take any of his friends shit; he seemed to be the only person in this school who did. Well that was going to change.
She wrapped both hands around his arm, giving it a slight squeeze. "You're doing it because you're a wonderful friend." She leaned over and gave him a chaste kiss on the cheek. "I do appreciate it. We don't have to stay very long, just long enough to ensure everyone has seen us." She meant it in a social way, but she wanted to make sure a certain someone saw them together.
They walked into the Great Hall together and Narcissa was disgusted with the decorations. "Will you look at this?" she said, shaking her head. "It looks like Madam Puddifoot's barfed all over the Great Hall." She shook her head. That tea shoppe was one of Narcissa's least favorite places. It was too cutesy. "Another reason why I need to get control of these event plannings. Obviously whoever was left in charge does not know how to coordinate."
