AFTER 8 PM
Remus had always seemed like the kind of guy to take the blunt end of everything and this was the topper. Lily stopped with him and just gave him a hug. She didn't really know what else to do, but he looked so vulnerable.
"You did nothing," she said, her chin resting on his shoulder. "If it's anyone's fault, it's Lucius'. Tonight isn't the time, but we'll figure things out and get Sirius back." She knew it was too cliche to talk about being strong, but she resolved that she would be that for Remus. She knew he had the rest of his friends to help and support him (well, at least James and Peter), but she would offer her help as well.
She pulled away from Remus, her hands rubbing his arms. "Things will be ok Remus. Something's up and we'll sniff it out."
