PUNCH BOWL
James had met Lily in the common room and she had found herself feeling rather shy. She loved the dress she had chosen for the dance. She normally didn't like to dress up so much, but she and Molly had had a good time getting ready. Everything else was very simple for Lily. Small gold stud earrings, a simple gold chain around her neck, and her heels. Dear Merlin, the heels. She tried to tell herself that they would stay on the whole evening, but she was already beginning to hate them. Still, it gave her a little more height to James, something she liked.
They had wandered down together and she was a little surprised he hadn't waited for Sirius. She thought they might have gone down as a group, but it was nice to walk in on James' arm, loathe as she was to admit it. Or was she? After the Quidditch game, she had started to have this strange feeling towards James. She found she actually wanted to see him and every time she did, she couldn't help but smile and even blush. What was happening to her?
The Great Hall looked...cute. It wasn't really Lily's choice of decoration, but it was a Valentine's dance after all. She looked around for other friends, but they all seemed to be doing their own thing.
"So what first?" she asked, putting both her hands on his arm. "Dance? Drinks?"
