AFTER 8 PM
There was his chance. He'd observed the two chattering [more like the blood traitor yelling and the werewolf being embarrassed by it all] and getting all too cozy on the dance floor. This was the perfect opportunity to fulfill his task and play a little bit of revenge upon the werewolf abomination. Donning an entirely too self-satisfied smile, he turned to Alecto and whispered his apologies while he had to go take care of some things. Lucius headed for his target with a swagger that had a few of the onlooking girls refocus on him, erupting into a new wave of giggles and sighs. He merely offered a quirked brow and a small salute; the pleasantries would have to wait for another night. Tonight, he had business to attend to.
Coming upon the two, he loudly announced himself with a drawl simply oozing with charm and interest, "Why Mister Black, Mister Lupin. So good of you to be enjoying yourselves." Canting his head slightly toward Remus, he offered a questioning look. "Surely you wouldn't mind if I were to cut in, would you? Good man, I thought not." Hardly giving Remus enough time to react, Lucius took hold of Sirius's arm and pulled him toward a more crowded section of the dance floor, so that with any luck, he could avoid both the werewolf and Narcissa's incessant staring. This needed to go down without a hitch.
He then turned to Sirius with a smirk and latched onto his hips since they were matched in height, leading the way into a dance far more appropriate for the heavy bass atmosphere and dimming lights. The body heat surrounding them would be a surefire way to get his target even more intoxicated than he already was. But for good measure, Lucius leaned in toward Sirius's ear and queried, "Now this is more like it, wouldn't you say? Good music, excellent partner, and enough heat to make you go mad."
