Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Dolores Umbridge and Molly Prewett.
What: A little cook fest in the kitchens.
Where: Hogwart's kitchen.
When: April 16. Afternoon.
Status: Incomplete.
Rating: PG-13 at most.

This would likely seem like a great waste of time to any of her fellow Death Eater's. It was why Dolores had chosen to speak to none of the people that were close to her about this little excursion. Dolores could justify it all she liked, and she still did not believe they would see her as anything more then a simpering, foolish Mudblood who was more interested in girlish hobbies than the plan that would lead to the Greater Good for the whole of the Wizarding World.

It was not all that serious of a matter, and yet Dolores could not help obsessing over it.

It had not been a lie, what she had told Molly Prewett about wishing to learn how to cook and bake, however there were other motives behind her visit. Molly seemed to be something of an ideal pawn; she was Pureblooded -- although her tastes were simply appalling -- and seemed to have close contact with a number of people that her lord might appreciate having.

After all, she thought,</i> if he was willing to go for Black, why not Prewett or Potter...?</i>

They were selfish thoughts, ideas and ideals all wrapped into one ugly bundle, however Dolores did not feel guilty in the slightest. After all, she wished to do anything to prove herself more fully, to the Dark Lord and to Lucius as well as others, and what did she care about Molly?

Pulling herself from her thoughts, Dolores found her feet had carried her straight to the picture that led into the kitchen. Stretching out her hand -- and standing on her tip toes as Dolores was almost too short to reach -- she toyed with the pear, watching as, moments later, a handle appeared.

Taking hold of it, she slipped inside. Watching as House Elf's hurried forward to greet her, the Head Girl could only frown. Disgusting little things...

She and Molly had agreed on a set time to arrive, and though she could care less for the red-head, Dolores had still arrived early enough to be there before her. It was simply how she worked.

Brushing past the House Elf's, she worked to pull a smile onto her features as she began to inform the creatures around her what she and Prewett wished to do. She was not quite asking, however Dolores feigned kindness.

If she wanted this to work, she could not have the Elf's slipping something out about her different attitudes in front of the Gryffindor.

Satisfied that they understood, Dolores moved off and chose to watch as bread was rolled without any assistance. She did hope that this was not a terrible waste of time.

Dolores did --so very much--wish to bring her Lord a present to play with.
