Sirius lay with his head and right arm slumped off of his bed, his dark hair just barely brushing the floor. He knew he should probably get up, clean up a bit of the mess, especially if Lily was coming, but he just couldn't find the energy. Between the nightmares, that terrible ball, and losing the Quidditch game, Sirius could barely find the energy the breathe, forget everything else. He was just so tired.
It had been hard, these last weeks. He's been trying so hard to get everything back to normal. He'd been laughing louder, talking more, and smiling wider than ever, but it was all so difficult now. He wanted to move past it all, but he couldn't stop dreaming about Lord Voldemort. Or Lucius. Or sometimes it was twisted, not-quite memories of things he'd done in his altered state. Whatever it was, he hadn't slept the night through in weeks. But he couldn't talk to his friends about it, even thought he knew they would listen. They had just gotten their normality back, and he wasn't about to ruin that by being miserable at them.
He could hear feet on the staircase, and assumed it was Lily. The lads were off, and he didn't expect them back for a while. He didn't lift his head as the door squeaked open, but did offer a half hearted
"Hi Lils."
