Remus' heart was pounding. He'd been in the library while reading and responding to the messages left in Sirius' journal. There had been talk of distractions, alone time, and leather trousers. Remus managed to keep up with the banter between himself and Sirius, but as he made his way toward Gryffindor Tower, his nerves started to get the better of him. His mind was racing faster than the rapid beating of his heart, as each step brought him closer to his room, and the promise of what lie in wait. He didn't know what to expect, or if he should be expecting anything at all. What if Sirius was just teasing him? He might not even be in the room, and it was all just a joke. He'd feel like a fool, but maybe that was for the best.
Why, oh why did he have to be so socially awkward when it came to romance? Remus had never dated anyone before Sirius, let alone snogged or carried things further. He felt like he'd only just gotten the basics of snogs down, even though Sirius had never complained about the way he kissed. There was also the matter of how shy he was when it came to his body. Dozens upon dozens of scars littered his upper body, even his face. It still amazed him that someone as beautiful as Sirius could be attracted to a monster like him, but he trusted SIrius and believed everything he said. If he was attracted to him, then that was a fact no matter how unlikely it seemed.
As Remus ascended the stairs of the tower, he started to undress a little to seem more relaxed. He untucked his shirt, removed his tie and sweater and placed them in his shoulder bag. Remus felt his cheeks growing warm already, as he spoke the password and entered the Common Room. There were a few students scattered here and there, but there was one in particular whom Remus had come to see. He went up to the dorms, but stood outside his door for nearly a full minute before actually going inside of the room he shared with his best friends.
"Sirius?" He called out, as he looked around the room for him.
