Needless to say, Lily did not feel like the social type as of late. She had stayed in her dorm room for a couple of days until Molly had prodded her to go out and actually eat something. The result of the trial still weighed heavy on her and she began to question the community she had come to love. Surely the Wizengamot had not really found Black and Lestrange not guilty! It was obvious! The defense and eye witnesses spoke otherwise, yet they were allowed to walk away scott free. And all that meant was they did favor the strong, pureblood families.
It was enough to make Lily sick.
She had eaten little of her meal before they were ushered out to their next class. She had Divination next and figured she would skip for the day. She didn't want to hear about her future or the reading of the stars. She wanted to lay in her bed like she had since the trial. But fate seemed to take her somewhere else.
She only glanced over to see who had called her, quickly looking away when she saw Rita. She tried to dodge away from her, yet the dense group of people made it difficult. Sadly she caught up with her and Lily could only shut her eyes in frustration.
"I don't really feel like it Rita. Maybe later, ok?"
