Amycus watched Peter with a veiled expression, his face falling into it's familiar blankness that gave away nothing of what he felt. "I can understand wanting to protect your friends if you can. Better than most people would probably believe of me," he said quietly.
He lowered his voice further and leaned in slightly, "I'd be willing to help you improve if you liked. We could meet in an empty classroom. Keep it quiet."
He smiled at the other boy, hoping he didn't look close enough to see that the smile didn't reach his eyes. Or if he did assumed that it was because he felt badly for having laughed at him, "I appreciate that."
"Your friends Sirius and Remus, handled it far better than I did. They were mentioned at the same time as Rabastan and I but no one seems to be gossiping about them. I was more upset by Dominic on Rabastan's behalf than my own," he said honestly, forcing his voice to stay calm. He was still furious with Dominic but most of his anger now was due to more recent events.
