Peter's eyebrows shot up, and he chose that moment to look around the surrounding area. Almost as if he was worried someone might catch what he was saying next, his already quietly squeaky voice dropping only lower, like he were sharing a secret of sorts with the other Wizard.
"Well, it's kind of because...because of what happened..." Biting his thumb nail, Peter shrugged slightly. "I don't want my friend's to be hurt again and well, I'm sort of rubbish at most things. The Dark Arts too, but if I get better..."
If he let his interest be more then just some fleeting feeling...
Maybe Peter would be able to do something next time.
"It's alright." He said, giving a dismissive wave of his hands, to show Amycus that he was serious. Peter was used to be laughed at, even mocked. What Amycus had done was tame compared to other events.
Shifting in his seat, he nervously glanced at him. "Probably...doing that only makes people pay more attention. I--I thought it was terribly rude of Avery...to do that to you and Rabastan..."
