It would have been a lie, if Dominic were to say he was not taken aback that Adelaide was actually willing to trust him, to put her faith into him to keep her safe in her new and temporary blind state; it pleased him, more than anything once that surprise left Dominic.
Smirking, he extended his own hand, taking hold of hers' and drew her in closer. "Well hidden, m'dear. It's one of my better qualities, and there's no point in squandering those on just anybody, is there?"
He chose not to answer her other question. After all, Dominic wanted it be a great surprise, and when he started speaking, more often then not, he spilled out too much.
"Be prepared to step up in a moment, Adel. I'll help you..." He trailed off, giving his wand a wave. The mirror before them seemed to evaporate before his eyes, and he began to help Adelaide up and over the frame, and into the stone passage way behind it.
This was an interesting place he had discovered long ago, and some time after that, he even found that it leaded right into Hogsmeade.
A perfect surprise, and a perfect place to find out just what they were.
He started to --and carefully -- lead her down the cramped area, a path that led to an opening into the village, just as the mirror reappeared, hiding the secret once more.
"Don't trip now," He warned, tone a touch teasing.
