Re: DINNER
James looked from Sirius to Regulus, before leaning to tell his dad something to which he received a wilting look. He shrugged and turned back to the table in time to hear Walburga Black's statement. The anger within him on behalf of Sirius was barely withheld as he heard his mate reply back with his usual wit and sarcasm.
"Oi, what's with the snakes, anyway? Don't we have enough of them in this bloody manor as is?" He pointedly ignored the veiled look given by his parents, ploughing on as though he were the centre of the table.
"I'd be right happy with griffins. Far more flattering and noble." The smirk he levelled at the collection of Blacks at the table was arrogant, daring any one of them to say something. James then turned a grin on Sirius and Remus, obviously proud of himself. "Reckon the Malfoys should get the privilege of my criticism before the night is out."
