Dominic/Adelaide
She watched as his reaction changed, realization coming over him. It was the proper response, one that needed to be said out of duty and image. Still, she had hoped he would have gone with his first instinct, throwing caution to the wind. She wanted to walk back in on his arm and for everyone to see.
Still, she knew their instinct of needing to pretend like nothing happened was prudent at the moment. Her family would not oppose to it; the Avery's were a well known and prestigious family. Her mother might actually think she had done something right.
She bit her lower lip as if that would keep the plea to do the complete opposite from escaping. She just nodded her head, looking at the ground. Could there be a way they could just do whatever they wanted without risking any kind of disgrace?
"How...serious are you about Alecto?" She asked, looking up at him. She wasn't sure if it was some game he was playing at or if he might have some feelings for the girl as well. She didn't want Rodolphus to take any hint about her feelings for Dominic, not sure how he could use it in any future plan or call off the favor entirely.
"Maybe a dance?" she asked, looking back up at him. "That is, if you feel well enough to twirl me around on the floor." She smiled, giving him a teasing nudge.
