Who: Bella and Amycus
What: Dinner at her house! Plotting as well
Where: Black Manor
When: Saturday Afternoon
Status: Incomplete
Rating: PG

Bellatrix waved her wand trying to quell the fire that she'd accidentally started. How did one cook? Well. Cook well? She checked the time, cursing silently to herself. Her guest could arrive at anytime. She stared at the charred bird she'd been attempting to cook. Why did she try and impress people? Dressing up for fools. Cooking for friends. Nope. This insanity had to end.

She let out a long drown out sigh and poked the dead meal with the tip of her wand. Another burning yet slightly different smell caught her attention. A string of curses followed her attempt to save the potatoes...

"Just... forget it. He'll eat it like this and love it." She hissed grabbing her mother's nice plates, trying not to drop them in her irritation. The only thing that calmed her mind was the thought of Rodolphus learning of this. She cooking and having dinner with someone~ She laughed silently to her self setting the table and placing the burnt food in the middle of the table. Perhaps she'd write some long journal about how lovely it'd been. Yes... she'd do that. Hint to ridiculous things~ Oh. He'd be sooo upset. It'd be worth the cauldron full of bugs he might send her!

The doorbell cut off her devious plotting. Uh. The house smelled of burnt food and she looked like a disaster... She waved her wand at least making the house look nice. The least she could do before hurrying to door to great her guest.

Amycus couldn't help but laugh at the glee he heard in Bella's voice when she was telling him about carving that piece of filth's arms up. "That I would have dearly loved to see," he said, unsurprised at the joy he heard in his voice at the thought. "I must admit to being a bit sorry to have missed out on all the fun," he said a bit regretfully.

He waited until Bella had finished fixing her plate before putting food on his own, careful to avoid making a face at the sight of the burned food and the smell that still lingered somewhat about it. "An unfortunate side effect. Of course you'll get out of it dear. And perhaps that piece of trash, and her friends, will learn their place," he said taking a small bite of his food and washing it down immediately with a sip from his glass.

"I have one small favor to ask you before I tell you what I've been up to. Our deal and all," he told her, after he swallowed. The next time he made plans with Bella for a meal, they were going to a restaurant.

She hummed in agreement. "I'm not worried. If Daddy can't get me out of it, the council is mostly purebloods, and I'm a Black." She laughed softly. "Getting convicted won't happen. Who will believe a bunch of kids. I'd insist she's making up such a silly story.

"A favor...?" She glanced up at him for a moment. "Sure thing. I said I'd help." She jabbed at the food they'd made glad they were both quiet about what they knew was terrible food. "Is it about Rab...?" He'd been mentioned in their conversation earlier. She could only assume that's what this was still about.

"You shouldn't be," Amycus told her, forcing himself to take another bite. "Their entire case rests on the word of a mudblood and a bunch of blood traitors and half-bloods. Who are hardly better than mudbloods themselves," he said, taking a longer drink from his glass. This was definitely the worst meal he'd ever eaten.

"It is. He asked me if I knew anything about the Death Eaters. He wants me to set up a meeting with our Lord for him. I don't have that kind of pull Bella but you do. Rab says he wants to join," he told her looking up and trying to catch her gaze.

"Rab wants to join...?" She sighed and stared at Amycus. "I'll pull the string that need to be pulled for him, but..." Bella tapped her fork on the plate. "I like Rab. Much more than his brother... but... do you think he's cut out for the Death Eaters? Do you really think he can do this?"

She didn't have a lot of faith that the boy could do what she enjoyed doing on a daily basis. That he could do what had to be done against the Mudbloods. While she'd never say it out loud, she worried that he might be walking that dangerous Blood Traitor path. This show of interest was a good sign, but... "But you asked me for a favor, and I'll of course speak to Him about it... but before you ask this of me... are you absolutely certain that Rab can do this...? Is he cut out for us? The punishment for failing. For leaving... this isn't something you can walk away from." The marks on their arms were proof that they were in this forever.

Amycus nodded mutely at Bella's question about Rab wanting to join. She was voicing some of the same concerns that he was having. "I appreciate that Bella. And I'm certain that Rab will also," he said decisively. He thought for a moment before answering Bella's next question.

"I want to say yes. He's my best friend and I want him to be there with me. With us. But I'm not really sure that he can. But he wants to do this Bella," he said, hating himself for the urgent pleading he heard in his voice.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before continuing. "He wants to join Bella. And I'm willing to guarantee that any task he's given is completed," he said, not telling her that he'd do the job himself if he had too.

Bellatrix nodded slightly. "Alright then. If you are sure. Then I will talk to Him and see what I can do. If he wants to join that bad..." She didn't have high hopes in all honesty... but that was for their Lord to decide. Only He could determine if Rab was up for this. And if he wasn't... well...

"You have my word that I will talk to our Lord at the meeting we'll be having soon. And we'll get his started for Rab. It'd be nice to have him join us. I think it'll toughen him up a bit. Perhaps give him some much needed confidence!"

Amycus wished that he could guarantee Bella that he was sure of what he was asking her to do for Rabastan but he couldn't. "Maybe it will," he said softly, picking at his food idly, his thoughts back with Rabastan and his request.

Whether it did or not, Amycus would still stand by his friend and try to protect him. "Shall we change the subject? I'm anxious to get some input from you on my latest project. Well projects now," he told her, wanting to change the subject so that he could focus on anything but all of the things Rodolphus might be doing to tease Rabastan at that moment.

"Yes of course." She smiled at him and set her fork down, lacing her fingers together. "What is this devious plan of yours? I'm quite eager to hear..." No more talk of the Lestrangs was fine with her. Something a bit more sinister and perhaps criminal was right up her alley.

She'd been dying to hear about this. It's why they had this dinner after all. Talks of torturing mudbloods and this plan of his. And she was beyond curious. Even wanted to get in on it if she could!

"Nothing that'll land me in front of the Ministry. Unfortunately. Just a bit of play like I told you," he said, taking another sip of his drink.

He set his fork down beside his plate and looked at her. "Playing with her perceptions. She somehow has the idea that I'm so poor sweet boy stuck in that awful house," he said with a laugh, looking up at Bella with an innocent face. "And now it's grown to include her friends. Choking down my true opinion of them all is going to kill me I'm certain," he added.

She giggled softly. "Oh I see. Mind games are always fun too." She reached for the bottle of whisky and =topped off both their glasses. The food seemed to be inedible. Might as well drink more. "Ha! I'm sure you'll be fine. You seem like someone who can hold their tongue. Unlike me!" She laughed.

"I'd much prefer to actually torture someone. More immediate satisfaction," he said raising his refilled glass to her in a silent toast.

"I even offered my sympathies to that mudblood," he said laughing along with her. "That might have been the hardest part of the whole thing."
