Amycus had noticed Bella's eyes beginning to narrow at his comment about the food and he was glad that he'd dropped the topic as quickly as he had.
He laughed along with her as he followed her through the house, paying close attention to the furnishings and decorations in case Alecto wanted him to describe them to her later. "And of course I'll want to hear exactly what you did to Rodolphus. I'm certain it was nothing more than he deserved," he told her, tactfully ignoring the burnt food on the table as they took their seats.
