Remus wasn't particularly looking forward to any part of this whole plan, except for the part where Sirius received help that no one else was able to provide. He didn't like going behind James' and Peter's backs to do it, but he had no other option. They'd run out of time, Sirius had nearly died before, and Remus wasn't going to take anymore chances. Especially with the Full coming up. James could be angry with him all he wanted if it meant this worked for Sirius. In the end, Sirius' well being would always come first. That didn't mean he felt good with his decision, or that he even trusted Severus. But he'd made the others think that he did, and that had to be good enough for now. Severus was the only person who even thought they could help Sirius. Remus didn't care what his motives were, he just needed him to do what he said he could, and they'd go from there. Holding it over Sirius for years to come didn't seem like a big deal if it meant Sirius still had those years to live.
After closing his journal when he sent Severus an urgent request to come to Gryffindor Tower, he stood up from the plush couch in the Common Room and wen to the portrait hole. He felt uneasy, scared for Sirius, and unsure of whether or not this was a good idea, but the bottom line was, Sirius needed help. Remus took a deep breath, then pushed the portrait open. He glanced out, and saw Severus leaning against the wall near the entrance way. "Thank you," he said, relieved to see him -- never thought he'd live to see the day he was relieved to see Severus Snape. "He's up in the room. I'll take you there."
