She felt like her attention was being pulled both ways and she didn't want to make either one of the boys feel neglected or that she was favoring one over the other. She was still trying to wrap her head around the fact that they were in the same room. She looked at Severus as she felt his lips brush against her hand and smiled at him, giving his hand a little squeeze, reassuring him she was here and alright.
She felt herself relax a little at Severus' insisting. She wanted to remember, she did, but it felt like running up against a brick wall. She looked back down at her arms and shook her head. She wished she had some kind of long sleeve shirt to put on. It was embarrassing and disturbing to look at.
She sighed, the truth coming out. "I know," she said, her head hanging low. "It's all my fault. I should just know when I need to shut my mouth." It was a hard lesson to learn, but one she would need to get through her head.
