Severus watched the interaction with a quirked brow, pointedly leaning a bit away from Potter as he rushed over to Lily's side. His own hand never left Lily's, though, so that when he leaned forward, he placed a light kiss on the back of it and felt himself do a little mental cheer when Potter stiffened up next to him.
"Don't worry yourself too much, Lily. If you feel that you can't go on, no one is pressuring you." Severus shot a dangerous look at Potter who was glaring right back, before turning to Lily and softening his gaze.
"What matters is that you seem to be in decent shape, despite this." A hand waved to the marks on her arm that she'd observed earlier. "And I'm sure even those can be handled. Madam Pomfrey is an expert, after all." He saw the Healer smile a little as she finished up her work and turned to leave the students alone.
When Lily questioned who her kidnappers were, he couldn't help but tense up a little, clutching on a little more tightly to her hand as he steeled his features, completely ignoring the dark look that he was getting from James beside him who looked like he wanted to blurt it out.
"Your kidnappers are... they'll be dealt with. All I can say is that you should not rise to future bait in journals. They may seem innocuous on paper, but in reality, these people are hardly fit to be played with. They live life dangerously and do not mind dragging anyone else for the ride."
