Lily frowned, trying to think back to the Hogsmeade weekend. She remembered going to Madam Puddifoot's with James and being surprised that he had offered to take her there. She hadn't been sure if he was even still interested in her, that maybe he had asked just to get her to stop following them. But they had had a good time. At least she believed so. There was a bit of awkwardness all around, but he had still joked around and flirted with her. It was almost nice to get back to the old way.
But after that, things got a little fuzzy. She remembered meeting up with Avery, to talk about the new list going around the school. They had gone out for a walk and...She shook her head.
"I can't really remember," she said slowly, looking up at James. "I remember going to Madam Puddifoot's and then meeting up with Avery, but that's it." She shook her head, closing her eyes again. "I'm sorry, I don't remember..." Why couldn't she remember? She squeezed her eyes tighter, as if that would help bring the memories back. But being fully aware of her surroundings now, she could only pick up the varying noises around her and the people who were standing around her bed. She sighed, opening her eyes again.
"How long was I go?" she asked, her voice quiet. "And who took me?"
