Rabastan nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard something skitter across the stones. He spun around, splashing paint across the already multi-colored stones, and gaped at Riona. How, what, why?
"I didn't mean to intrude! I was just exploring the various outside rooftops and happened to come to this one..."
He released his hold on his brush slightly, feeling his heart settle down. She hadn't been looking for him, just looking around.
"That's beautiful," she said, nodding to his painting. "How long have you been working on it?"
"Oh, uh, this?" He gave his painting a nervous glance. "I, uh, started it, uh, yesterday. Morning. About 5. In the morning. I said that, yeah?" He gave a pained giggle, then clapped his hand over his mouth.
