Lily had always known she had great friends, but this incident really helped prove her point. She had been visited by many people, but those who were closest to her, her Gryffindor housemates, were the best. She was rarely alone and while their presence may have been over the top at times, she knew they meant well and wanted to be sure she was alright. She nodded her head at Remus' comment, not really noticing his gloss over of Sirius. She had been confused why the other boy hadn't paid her a visit, sure he would joke around and help keep her mind off everything else. But he had been elusive as of late and Lily hadn't seen anything of him.
"Just until Sunday," she said with a grin. "And I'm really looking forward to that day. I almost started marking off the days until I can be back in the common room with you guys!" It was so easy to relax with Remus. She had always felt a special connection with him before growing closer with the other boys. She was grateful for their friendship and happy that it continued to grow closer each day.
She glanced towards the books he brought, wondering what they were on. He always had such a vast knowledge that they could have been anything. "Thanks," she said, her gaze turning back to him. "I've found myself twiddling my thumbs in boredom so these will definitely help." She studied Remus, wondering why it was he came here. He always had a pale pallor to him and she wondered if he just had a weak immune system.
