"So this is just to prove yourself right?" she asked, although she really shouldn't have been surprised. "Still, you can honestly say you're proud of yourself for catching someone like me and then taking such heavy precautions? Worried that I might actually best you at something and then where would you be in your ideals? Proven wrong and no where to go." The tiny voice of reason that was within Lily was screaming at her, asking her why she thought it was good to bait the snake. But she couldn't just allow her to go through all of this and think herself superior.
When he mentioned James, Lily gritted her teeth together. She wasn't going to say anything about the people involved, not wanting them to be targeted as well. Still, she began to worry and wonder what she would do to her and if James would find her repulsive. She had already lost him once from her stupidity, now it would just be from being a physical eyesore.
She watched as Bellatrix dropped her hair on the floor, a look of disgust on her face. It was all just a game, yet only when she was tied up. Her heart jumped as she began talking about leaving messages onto her skin and it dawned on her; the carving that was found on that poor man's body. "You hurt that man that was reported in the Prophet," she said, her eyes wide. "You or this stupid group of yours. You're targeting muggle borns and hurting them! What do you plan to do, wipe us all out? Create an elite society of purebloods?"
