James stood quietly by his mate's side while he revealed a very intimate fact about himself, in the way of show and tell. His resolve hardened that much more and as he placed a hand on his mate's shoulder in thanks, he gave it a little squeeze before letting go and getting back to his speech, facing the suddenly more attentive room.
"So you see, it's not just little kids with toys that we're dealing with. This is dark magic that maybe a handful of you have even heard of. And you can bet those bloody Slytherins and blood purists know many more than all of us combined. What'll it be then? Stand around like bloody sheep, waiting to be picked off because we associate with Muggleborns, or that we care about their safety? Or are we going to defend ourselves?"
James's eyes held a fire that burned bright and hot enough to sear anyone nearby. He noticed a few students nodding along with him, knowing that he'd at least captured a few people with the reality and darkness of the situation. Again his eyes flitted to Lily, wondering if she'd go along. James was so worried for her... he couldn't think sometimes, when he let his mind wander about the two attacks.
