Re: HONEYDUKES
Remus had been glad to hear that Sirius wanted to go out to participate in the Hogsmeade weekend they'd been granted. He hadn't been expecting him to want to leave the castle, but he thought it'd be good for Sirius to get out and away from everything even if just for a few hours. They could have a good time out, then come back and attack the issues plaguing them with a refreshed outlook. Things between them had been a little off, admittedly, but they were still standing side by side. Remus hadn't been lying when he said that nothing could ruin things for them. He wanted to help Sirius through all that was happening, and then maybe they could address the issues that had occurred between the two of them dating back tot the Willow Incident. Maybe.
For the time being, he just wanted to be with Sirius. The two of them were standing side by side looking out at the Shrieking Shack. Remus rarely had ever been near it when he wasn't in the midst of undergoing a transformation. He didn't know how a dilapidated shack like that had served as the hiding place for a werewolf for so long, but he figured Dumbledore had placed some sort of enchantment on it. As he was thinking about that, he felt something brush against his sleeve, which made him feel curious.
A moment later, he felt Sirius reach out and take his hand. He didn't mind it, and he wouldn't have minded it had they been in a more public setting. He wasn't ashamed. The only reason he was hesitant to engage in any sort of public display of affection with Sirius was for the other boy's sake. He didn't want anyone questioning him or being unkind to him about it.
Remus did not squeeze Sirius' hand, but instead just laced their fingers. He didn't want to do anything too controlling like apply pressure to the hold Sirius took on his hand. He was afraid it would make him nervous. So instead he just took a passive approach in linking their fingers.
