Adrian preferred to stay out of the conversations between Lexi and Clint about the Canadian. The bloke was well out of their circles, though Adrian could admit that he wasn't as bad as Clint sometimes made him out to be. He did have a certain charming quality when it came to Lexi and he was respectful, so Ade did his best to stay neutral. More importantly, he didn't want an angry Lexi jumping down his throat. That was one challenge he had no interest in facing.
Speaking of challenges, Clint drew his attention back to the brunette he'd been eyeing since he'd walked in the place. She was definitely right up his alley and he'd spotted her almost immediately. Pulling his eyes away from her, he shot Clint a grin. "He's going to get in his own way," he offered, "I won't have to do a thing. If you look again, she's not drinking. He is, of course, and for the past hour I've been sending regular rounds of shots to that table." Sitting down the alcohol was taking longer to take affect, but the moment he stood, he'd feel it and he'd be useless.
As though having heard his thoughts, the bloke stood and staggered. After another moment, he excused himself from the table and started to make a stumbling path to what Adrian could only assume was the bathroom. "Can I borrow you for a second, Lexi?" he asked, offering her a wiggling of his eyebrows.
