They'd had a few moments but it was as if they were both very uncomfortable with progressing towards anything that might even pass their normal squabbling, sexual tension or whatever it was. It was sort of beginning to irritate her. She was doing what she could to attempt to get along with him in a non-sexual fashion. She had a lot of respect for the way Marcus played the game and while she'd never admit it, she was looking forward to learning something from him that might improve her game. That, and he really wasn't so bad to be around when he wasn't intentionally acting like a giant fucking arse. Which, admittedly, was most of the time. Still, they'd had a few laughs. It was different and whatever it was, it was changing things between them.
"Fine," she said, rolling her eyes. "I've had enough. You've taken the big, bad alcohol away from me and you don't have to worry about it anymore, dad." Merlin. She'd made a mistake,. It happened. Like he was so bloody perfect. Course, with those eyes and that face... it's too bad he opened his mouth because it really was annoying, the stuff that came out. :"Like you've never done anything stupid, Mr. Perfect."
Crossing her arms, she leaned against the door and studied him. "Why do you think I'm incapable of having a one night stand?" she asked, arched brow. "You think you know me, don't you?" Course, he might, on some level. But he didn't know her. Katie pushed off the door and strolled towards him, stopping directly in front. "You see what you want to see. I'm not the same twelve year old girl who you pushed off a broom and maybe, just maybe. You don't know me as well you think."
