Katie's friendships were filled with numerous dynamics. She and Oliver were just one facet of a group that was extremely tight knit. Maybe it didn't make sense to Marcus but she'd never really questioned her friendships with any of them. Not really. Maybe after Oliver... but that was more a question of herself and him as a potential couple. She'd never crossed the line with her guy friends. Not with Lee or Fred... or Cormac. She and George had snogged once at the Yule Ball but that'd turned into a fit of giggles and they ended up spiking the punch and stuffing the treats with puking pastiles. No... Katie had a type and Oliver had been the only one of the group to fit it but that hadn't gone the way she planned. "You know," she said, plopping down on his couch. "For someone who is all about keeping his one nighters away from his home, I sure do end up here a lot." It was true.
Oddly enough... they hadn't slept together but any time they'd ended up in any sort of... whatever, he'd always been around afterward. It was strange. They'd gone out to eat on numerous occasions and while she knew he was still working an angle and trying to get her to sleep with him, they both knew it'd happen eventually. She sort of enjoyed whatever this was.
"Well," she said, standing back up and moving to his bar and managing to pour a couple of drinks. "I feel special." Turning, she handed him a glass of whiskey, knocking her own back quick enough. "What's the worst one night stand you've ever had? Or have they all been perfectly magical and wonderful?"
