It had never even crossed Katie's mind to owl Adrian for help. She didn't know him well enough to even consider it and with their new found relationship and connection... she didn't think it'd even be prudent to consider it. It wasn't as though they were friends before any of this. They'd been friendly enough and being his half sister? Well, Katie wasn't even ready to deal with that emotional trauma. She'd rather take her luck with Marcus and his unreliability. Of course, he was here and that was good enough for her. Besides, she actually liked Marcus. Which, was really odd to say but she did. Mentally shrugging, she leaned against him, her head feeling light and free.
Marcus's words hit her like a ton of bricks and she stopped, staring at him, slightly stunned. She paled and felt the hurt of his words, of Oliver's actions. It'd been something she'd tried to forget and avoid because being made to feel like a groupie... another notch by Oliver had been devastating for her. Katie's eyes met Marcus's piercing gaze, vulnerability to showing before her eyes flashed and she pushed it away. "Consider it Gryffindor bonding," she said, with a shrug. "Everything is back to normal. That's all I wanted." Katie couldn't quite explain what it was that made her want to be part of Oliver's life. Maybe because she associated her career with him and maybe it was just that she was used to having him around but... he was her friend.
Katie let him lead her to the apparition point and she wrapped her arms around his neck, lips quirking up in amusement at his words. "Well I'm glad you didn't get disgusted," she teased, not even caring that they weren't alone before she kissed him quickly on the lips. "Wouldn't want to do that." She stumbled slightly when they arrived to his place, pulling away, brow quirked.
"You don't have your own groupie waiting for you arrival?" "she said, surprised they ended up here.
