It was really a sad commentary on the state of her friendships if she felt like Marcus Flint was the first person she should owl. But Ali had a kid and Oliver was in the hospital... Ange was busy... It really had been her only option. So it seemed, anyway. Besides, he was, technically, her Captain and she didn't feel overly fussed about dragging him out of bed. More than likely he'd already been up. Her lips quirked up into an amused smile when he snapped at the Hitwizard. Katie gave Ridgeway a smile and he winked at her. They'd all been really nice to her and she was really clueless as to the fact that half of them wanted to shag her. It really didn't register.
"This is my only chance, mate," Ridgeway said so only Marcus could hear, with a grin as he appreciatively watched Katie, who, didn't pay attention and didn't have a clue. "Besides. She gorgeous. Who could blame me?"
Katie, on the other hand, was still a little drunk and even Marcus's exasperation with her had her smiling. "A lot," she said, with a grin, moving to stand next to him. "But I promise to not do this again. Ever." She linked her arm through his, using him as a crutch. "I'm wobbly. But! I won!" She tapped her chin, thoughtfully, the cut across her forehead aching. "I won cause I'm pretty sure that if you break a bone that's an automatic loss... and I'm faster." She gave him a silly smile. "Much faster!"
