She stilled when he said okay, unsure what he meant by that, waiting nervously for him to continue. This had the weight of something that would change their relationship one way or the other and there would be no going back. When he agreed to move forward, she still couldn't quite wrap her head around it. She'd expected him to back away again not move forward and she couldn't help but search his eyes for anything that might suggest she was reading into this more than he intended her to.
And then he was kissing her again, not because it was a means to hide but just because he wanted to. It was funny really. She wanted to explore this for such a long time and now that she had it she couldn't really seem to focus on anything but the relief she felt at not having to keep up the separation. It was impossible not to respond to his need and when she did pull away, she had to remember how to breath. "Can we leave now?" she asked, leaning into him. There was a million things she could have said right then, but the only thing that came to mind was "My knee hurts."
Adrian, however, hadn't forgotten about the two outside, but that didn't mean he wasn't tempted as all hell just to carry her straight upstairs. He groaned at that smile, knowing he was in over his head with this one. "You're killing me," he teased, breaking away from her in order to move back to the window and check on the two outside. He honestly expected one of them, namely Clint, to be hexed. What he found instead, however, had his eyebrows raising.
Taking a step back, he laughed, "Well, since they're snogging in your backyard, I'm going to take that as a free pass," he responded, moving back to her and scooping her off the counter and heading for the stairs. "Bath?"
