In contrast, Marcus didn't think anything of it. He had been raised in the higher circles of society and was quite used to what took place. It was all a game of power and standing and you played it because you had to. He didn't feel guilty nor did he really think that he should. The woman, ultimately, hadn't been much of a problem and it had been easily solved. Of course, the sudden presence of her foot on his leg had him raising an eyebrow.
"Any particular reason you're rubbing your foot up and down my leg?" he asked, a slow smirk settling on his lips. Well, if she was going to be so forward, there was no point in not returning it. Ultimately, he hadn't really had much reason for picking the place. She had said she wanted steak and this had been the first place he'd thought of. That's about all the reasoning he had. Besides, the food was always top quality.
"Rather forward of you, Bell," he teased, dark eyes taunting her over the rim of his glass as he took another drink. "I feel like I should be impressed." It was much too easy to tease Bell and strangely enough, he'd missed doing so the past week. Between Adrian's news, Nationals, and her shitty performance, he hadn't had much opportunity to do so.
