She could see that he wasn't convinced. Rolling her eyes, she nudged his shoulder. "Seriously," she said, meeting his gaze. "I'll be in top form and you won't have anything to worry about other than the other 5/7ths of the team." Katie's eyes flickered to his lips, having this insane urge to snog him in order to reassure him. It was... weird. Blinking, she looked away. She nearly gave into the urge but instead turned back to the parchment. "Besides. I wouldn't let you down in this regard. It's too important." While Katie might not like Marcus most of the time, she respected his style of play and the way he played the game. She was actually looking forward to learning some moves from him.
"That's an understatement," she muttered, rolling her eyes. She was really hoping it was the whole new melding pot of players but, for whatever reason, they weren't meshing as well as they should be. She was certain they'd get it figured out but she bloody missed flying with her teammates. "Well," she said, hopping up on his desk, crossing her legs. "As long as you're occupied." She was a little weirded out that he hadn't flirted, attempted to snog or get her to sleep with him in the last week and was wondering if it had something to do with her newfound brother.
"We'll get there," she said, feeling slightly out of sorts. "It'll take time but we will." The thought of having to deal with Brooks had her groaning. "Ugh. This is why I don't captain." She let out a sigh and shrugged. "I'll talk to him and deal with his whole fit. I guess I can do that since you've got everyone else to deal with it."
Stretching out the kinks, Katie sighed. "Let's go eat," she said, stomach rumbling. "I'm hungry."
