At her explanation, he raised an eyebrow. Taking the papers from him, he glanced down as she explained, his eyes taking in some of the words at the top of the document. His career and obligations were just one of the many things he needed to think about and yet, another thing he really didn't want to think about. "You really shouldn't work so hard on this," he responded, setting the paperwork on the nightstand to look at later. "I appreciate the effort, but it'll work out."
His solicitor was working on the technicalities and he really didn't want her stressing out about it, particularly when she was getting feed back on the other members of the team, the ones that would continue to remain with the team after he had returned to his family. Her exclamation that his messes were manageable, he chuckled, leaning his head back. "As I've just left Clint and Marcus at a Wizarding Brothel, you may change your opinion." And that didn't even include the little bit about Katie.
He rather enjoyed the way she fit against him. It was strange to feel so content over such a small notion, but regardless, he was. He was glad he had given in. It was unfair, he knew, to feel more for her willingness to assist him when Marcus, Clint, and Lexi would do the same thing a million times over. She really didn't know him all that well and yet she was still willing to put herself in the middle of this. "Katie Bell is my half sister," he sighed, leaning his head back against the headboard and closed his eyes. "I fully understand if you'd like to retract that statement."
