Emma waved his concern away, content to enjoy the moment in his arms. They were oddly comforting and she wasn't sure she should enjoy this is as much as she did. "I'm always working," she said with a sigh as she pulled away. She glanced at her paperwork and shrugged. "Actually, it was for you." She followed him as he led her towards the bed. Settling against him, arm around her shoulders as she took her paperwork, Emma was leaning half against him, her knees propped up as she looked over Ade's contract. Handing it to him, she gave a small shrug, feeling a slightly more comfortable now that he was here. She shouldn't. But she did. "You're stuck for the year. But there's a bereavement and family leave clause that will, basically, let you end everything early and still collect your paycheck and not have to worry about breaking your contract. But it's something you should look over with your lawyer."
She was a little surprised that he'd arrived and that they were now cuddling on his bed. Still, he seemed to need... something and he was finding it here. That was reason enough for her to let him stay. It was... strange, to say the least but Emma didn't really want to question it and if she read too much into it, it'd lead to an existential crisis and she really just didn't have time for that. "I wouldn't worry," she said, tilting her head to smile up at him. "Your messes are very manageable. It's the other two thirds of your group that keep me up at night."
Her head rested against his chest as she read over the press release for tomorrow and set it aside. She could be done with her work tonight. There was always tomorrow. Shifting, Emma looked at Ade. "I'm glad you came over," she said, reassuring him that his presence was enjoyed. "You're welcome whenever, Adrian. I know you're having a rough go of it and whatever you need... Just let me know."
