Clint/Lexi/Marcus/Katie
Clint didn't really care who made breakfast. He just didn't want it to be him. Course, at this rate, it was looking like he was going to have to figure out something. Lexi's suggestions weren't up to his usual. He frowned, raising a brow at her. "How the two of you manage to survive is beyond me," he muttered, ducking the chicken bucket but missing. Rubbing his head, he picked it up and set it on the counter. Pulling the fridge open, he stared blankly at its contents. In the end, he pulled out a carton of eggs and found a frying pan. A few vegetables and omelets were in the work. Protein was needed. Definitely.
"The fact that neither of you can cook is disturbing," he said, idly, cracking the eggs. He glanced at Lexi, only able to picture her wrapped around Flint. Normally, this wouldn't bother him. He and Flint had shared many times. More than once. In fact, they'd done more but this was Lexi... His irritation grew and he looked away, unable to take in the bare shoulder and tousled hair. It was like a bloody knife in the gut. He was grateful she went to clean up his mess. He'd have gotten it but as she was already in the process, he just shrugged and continued on the eggs.
Katie was at a stand-still with Marcus Flint. She could smell breakfast being made and even that did nothing to distract her from the sleepy, sexy man in front of her. Her annoyance flared. They weren't supposed to be here. Why were they here? Her head was starting to pound. "You're more than welcome to find somewhere else to sleep," she said, crossing her arms, eyes slightly narrowed. "Please. I insist."
The flirting and light, easy banter that had appeared between them was all but gone. She'd been hurt by him and others this week and wasn't in the mood to make friends with someone who was basically a giant arse. And, if he and Lexi were... well, she just needed to get all thoughts of him out of her mind. "Could you please put on a shirt," she asked, exasperatedly. She knew exactly what it was like to wake up next to him and was more than a little disappointed she hadn't gotten to do it again.
