Seeing Nick was always the highlight of Lavender's week. They'd spent a handful of days together and each time she liked him more and more. Lavender knew that fancying Nick was going to end badly for her. He was everything a witch could want in a wizard and so incredibly far out of her league that it was laughable. Lavender refused to introduce Nick to her friends. She didn't want to get any more attached that she already was. The Cup was underway and soon he'd be gone and nothing more than a memory.
But while he was here Lavender was going to enjoy it. She opened the door, dressed in her usual jeans and a dull grey jumper far too big for her tiny frame. A smile filled her face and Lavender fought the urge to kiss his cheek. "Hi! You're here! Come in and try not to notice how cheap and secondhand everything is."
