A little smile ghosted across Seamus' lips and he rested a weak hand against the back of Susan's head. His eyes closed a moment later, but he was still awake. The slightest movement allowed his fingers to tangle in her beautiful red hair. A pang of longing hit him so hard it hurt, but the pain was just a pinprick atop everything else.
"I can...I can sleep first. Finally warm." A slow blink followed. "Stay with me, Susie. I need...I need you."
A few more muttered words that were unintelligible made their way out of Seamus, but he was so tired. Worn out by the attack and his body's rebellion. It wasn't long at all before he fell asleep, his wrist still resting on Susan's shoulder.
