Magical Creatures was never a subject that particularity interested Susan. She'd stopped taking it as soon as she could at Hogwarts in favor of Ancient Runes. She knew the average amount about banshees, Susan figured and she'd not really heard of them attacking people. It was worrisome and if Susan was in a different place she'd probably wonder about that a little more, but right now Susan could only think of Seamus and how scared he was.
Sliding off her shoes, Susan laid down next to him on the bed, cuddling close. It felt natural. He was cold and shivering and scared and he needed something familiar and warm. It was strange how little she thought about what she was doing or if it was wrong or not. Still holding his hand, Susan spoke softly and calmly. "Look at me, Seamus. Just focus on me and me alone. Nothing is here. It's just me, okay? You have to calm down before you give yourself a heart attack and I don't want to see that happen."
There was nothing she could do for him right now other than calm him down. Yes, there were potions and charms, but Susan knew that real, honest and true fear was something that could only be fought with calm and love. "Stop worrying about why it happened for right now. We'll worry about that later, okay?" And there it was. We. Susan had said we as though they were instantly a we again. She had to push that thought out of her mind for the time being. Seamus was shaking and cold and her heart was breaking because there wasn't a spell she could cast to make it all better.
