But it was a surprise to Oliver. He didn't care if other people knew how she felt about him because he didn't know. And that was all that mattered. And he was fairly certain that if Penny had known Katie was in love with him, she would have told him. Even though Katie was saying that she wasn't putting this all on him, she was immediately pointing out that everyone else seemed to know how she felt meaning that Oliver was the only one dumb enough not to realize it. So, again, it was his fault.
The kiss caught him by surprise. Oliver's hands wrapped around her arms and for a moment he considered pushing her way. This wasn't going to make things better. He knew that. He didn't know what he wanted from Katie and he didn't think she really knew what she wanted from him either. And, more than that, he didn't trust her the way he once did. But his mind was quickly shut out by his body and Oliver stepped forward and pushed Katie against the wall, feeling her towel fall away easily as he deepened the kiss. To hell with it, he thought.
Oliver parted her legs with his knee and ran one hand down Katie's slide slowly until it reached her hip. He wrapped her long leg around him and pressed himself against her, demanding everything from her in that instant. He was hurt and angry and he wanted to stop thinking and feeling for a few moments.
