Who: Susan & Harry When: Saturday Night Where: Bones Manor What: The "couple" makes an appearance at the Bones Dinner Party Rating: S for Snark
The Bones family was one of the last Families. Susan had always capitalized Family, even in her youth. The Pureblood Families were falling apart and to be honest, Susan didn't care. Society was a joke. Even those, like her family, who claimed to not care about blood purity still pushed matches they saw as being "appropriate." Lineage might not be important, but money, power and prestige certainly did. Oh how her mother had thrown a fit over Seamus all those years ago. It was priceless.
And now, Susan's mother was practically beaming with joy. Susan hadn't given her parents warning about her guest until the morning of the party and then ever so casually mentioned that Harry would be attending as her date. Yes, Susan knew it was wrong to play into this all, but she needed to have fun every now and then. And so, Susan made sure to look her best and when Harry arrived had been incredibly charming and welcoming.
After dinner, the guests were spread throughout the Manor and Susan pulled Harry off to the kitchen for real food. "My dad," she said as she rummaged through the pantry. "Always keeps the good stuff hidden so that my mother doesn't find it... HA!" She emerged, victoriously waving a box of chocolate biscuits and two bottles of beer. "Never fails."
