He laughed and pulled her into his arms, eyes sparkling with amusement. "What you know about me could fill a tea cup," he teased, pulling her a little closer than was appropriate. But if it would fluster her, than he was more than willing to do it. The dance was slow and the music soft and her general happiness over whatever scandal was brewing made him smile. A reporter's heart. He wasn't surprised. She'd always been that way and it was easy enough for him to admit that he enjoyed it.
"I've blown through about half of my book because of you," he teased, smiling. Her little pep talk, if that's what you could call it, had lit a fire under his arse. It was a good thing. He'd be finished much sooner and he was starting to feel anxious and restless. A sure sign he needed to get back into the field.
