Lunch with Susan was the highpoint of Harry's week. He had been toying with several ideas of how to make it look as misleading as possible. In the end, he settled on a small bunch of wildflowers. He wasn't sure he'd ever given anyone flowers in his lifetime, but he knew it was a thing that people did.
He spotted her at a table really almost exactly in the center of the room, and he chuckled to himself as he wove his way through the other tables. He came up alongside her so she wouldn't see him approach, and set the flowers down beside her files. "Thanks for meeting me for lunch," he said, setting his brown bag lunch down in front of the seat next to her.
