Her breath caught and the little gasp of surprise at his kiss had her heart fluttering. When he pulled away, she stumbled forward a bit, lips instantly missing his and blinking at him in surprise. That one kiss had instantly lit her on fire and she felt... alive. Staring at him, it look Eloise a moment to figure out what, exactly, it was he was saying. Processing thoughts after a snog like that... goodness. "Oh!" she exclaimed, blinking. "You don't have to apologize for anything." Of course, maybe she should tell him that he did if it meant he'd snog her like that again. She pursed her lips. Huh.
Eloise's mind drifted off as they headed inside and she felt her heart began to beat rapidly. This was Augustus! Augie! Her Augie! She couldn't help but think about how they got to this and it made her so incredibly happy.
His question startled her and she looked at him and glanced at the painting. "Oh no," she said, dismissing that and shrugging. "I was working on brush strokes. Just some technique stuff. I'm thinking about starting something new as I've a few projects in mind but it's been so long since I've done any of that... I thought some practice might help."
Sitting on the sofa, she reached for his hand and tugged him down, setting the wine on the coffee table and crossing her legs in front of her as she faced him. "How was work today," she asked, tucking her hair behind her ear, happiness at his presence evident.
