Mandy took the potion, using her elbows to prop herself up and take a sip, hands shaking as she handed it back and laid down. Rolling over on her back, she took a deep breath, finally feeling like her lungs were filling up. Her eyes were closed and the solid familiarity of Roger's presence next to her was comforting. It was quiet and the ragged sounds of her breathing began to even out. Opening her eyes, Roger coming into focus. "You look nice," she whispered, relaxing. One of the lovely side effects of the potion was the general disconnect from the world around you. There was a light, airy feeling around her as though she wasn't quite there.
"Thank you for coming," she said, shifting. It was strange, that he, of all people came running. Their history was oddly complicated and Roger was... well, he was a terrible boyfriend but an excellent friend. She appreciated having him around.
Mandy didn't cry. Mandy didn't yell. Mandy was an ice princess about most things. She wasn't overly emotional and it was rare when she broke down. She'd cried buckets after she and Roger had split but she'd never let him see that. Just as she'd never let him see her crying over Oliver Wood. One day, she was convinced she'd find a man who'd put her first.
"I've been suspended..." she said, sitting up, dark hair tumbling around her shoulders. "This is bad, Roger..." So very bad.
