Lexi nodded in agreement. They were quite common, particularly for those families who wished to the opportunity to show off their wealth or were hoping to acquire a suitable match for their children. "It's a lot less formal that what you would imagine," she grinned. Even with his Father being a jerk, Lexi had always loved the Pucey's. Their home was warm and she didn't feel out of place ... at least not in Elizabeth's company and that went a long way with Lexi. "She always has chips for me." It didn't matter what they made. Duck. Lamb. There was always a plate of fresh chips and Ketchup for Lexi.
Lexi laughed outright at Emma's snort, waving off the apology. "It shouldn't work at all," she agreed, watching Katie run off to attack George Weasley. "The fact that they somehow made it work is rather impressive." They were far too different and from two different worlds. She really had no clue how it was anything more than just base attraction and yet ... well, like she'd said. Marcus was always a lot happier with Katie around. "It's difficult to make Marcus' happy, so whatever it is Katie's doing, I hope she keeps it up. I wouldn't mind more time with a less grumpy Marcus Flint and I'm sure the rest of the world feels the same."
Smiling, she raised he glass for a moment, "Welcome to the circus," she toasted, amused. Lexi had been a part of the family for a long time now, so marrying into it didn't really change much of the dynamic. Emma, however, was a new addition and Lexi couldn't say she wasn't pleased about it. Other than Lyssy and Tori, who could both get on Lexi's nerves something fierce, there wasn't any other females.
