When Ade was done, Clint pulled out a couple of cigars and handed one to his cousin. "You have no idea what it took to reign him in," Clint grumbled with a grin, leaning over to let a busty waitress light it up. "Thank you, love." He gave it a couple of puffs and glanced around, the alcohol flowing freely at this point and some Gryffindor dancing on a table top. His eyes landed on Marcus and Katie, still attached at the hip and shook his head. "I think Marcus is enjoying himself more than he lets on." He'd grumbled the whole way through about having to invite Gryffindors and all that mess but in the end, he'd idly mentioned making Bell happy and that had been it. Clint had accepted he'd lost his best friend to bloody Katie Bell/Pucey. Weird.
"So congratulations on the twins," he said, leaning against the wall, eyes finding Emma and Lexi across the room. "And the engagement. I saw that giant bloody diamond from across the room." He shook his head, amused. Everything about Emma and Adrian was quiet and tasteful. Well, they tried to make it that way.
"When's she off to meet Auntie?" he asked, glancing at Ade and taking a sip of whiskey. "She's very put out she hasn't met her future daughter-in-law and the mother of her grandchildren. She was grilling me for information all morning Saturday. I didn't think it was possible to get a word in other then to tell her that, 'Yes. Emma's a lovely girl. No. She does not drink excessively. No. She does not dress like Lexi. Yes. Her manners are impeccable.'" He shook his head, amused. "She's dying to meet her."
