"Gwennie and I go way back. She took me in when I joined the league," Oliver said with a grin. "Taught me all about professional Quidditch even if I played for the wrong team." Oliver kept his arm tight around Mandy, enjoying the feel of her pressed against him. He wasn't going to hide his affection, especially not in front of a friend.
Gwenog smirked playfully. "Oh, Woodie, don't pretend I was only your teacher on the pitch. I helped turn this little boy into a man," she said with a laugh and turned to look across the room as someone hollered her name. "Sorry, love, but my date is yelling for me and he is a pompous ass." Gwenog leaned in to kiss Oliver's cheek before waving her fingers at Mandy and sauntering off.
