Marcus sighed, running a hand over his face. It didn't really matter if what Hannah had said was true. It was going to be splashed all over the place whether or not it was. Christ. He really didn't need this shit right now, but naturally getting what you wanted when you wanted it wasn't entirely how it worked.
When she suggest going after her, Marcus raised an eyebrow. Absolutely not. He wasn't going to run after her now so another scene could be made. "I think enough damage has been done for one night," he muttered. He had liked it better when he hadn't known anything about why Hannah had left. He'd certainly liked it better when she wasn't around and off in whatever corner of the world she'd picked to hide in.
"What I need is a drink," he muttered, scoping out the nearest bar and ignore the whispers and looks shot his way. "Or ten." There was no hope in stopping the gossip now, so there was no point in even noticing how quickly it spread around them. He was sure the new PR rep would have some laundry list of things for him to do in the morning to not appear so much like an asshole, but until then, he planned to forget the whole damn thing.
