Hannah came to the gala in a nude lace dress, the color still contrasting with her light blonde hair and pale skin. The former Hufflepuff wasn't even entirely sure why she ended up at the function in the first place, but she managed to wedge herself into a table in the back stirring her finger idly in her champagne glass as she stared off at the dancing couples and unreasonable amount of pink in the overly-large room.
Her friends, of course, were around but since she had no date -- nor any real prospects, she found herself lacking her usual amount of talkativeness. In fact, she was sure she was going to leave soon. She wasn't used to having a Valentine besides her cat anyway ... maybe he was getting hungry? No. She knew it was more polite to stay and she didn't want to come off rude. She was invited after all, at least she could watch all the pretty dresses.
A waiter passed, and she grabbed another glass of champagne, nodding in thanks at him before setting it in front of her after she downed the first in a sip.
