Adrian made a noise of agreement, eyes still focused on the image of their children. It was ... well, he didn't entirely have a word to encompass the sheer amount of emotion he was feeling right then. He was pretty sure he was in no way or shape ready to be a father and yet, there was still that sense of nervous excitement. It was an amazing thing, really, holding the undeniable proof of what they had done, made all the more so by the fact that there was two of them.
When she moved out of his arms, Ade's eyes finally shifted from the picture to follow her movement. Only then did he realize he was still standing around by the door. Shaking himself from his stupor, he followed after her, but he wasn't entirely able to keep his eyes from returning to the image in his hand. For Merlin's sake, they were having twins.
It was almost embarrassing that the smell of chocolate was what drew him out of his current staring phase with the twins. He eyed the almonds for a moment, watching her as she put one in her mouth. Her sheepish smile had him smiling. Shocking and completely unexpected this pregnancy might be, there was no denying that it was happening now and he was strangely alright with that.
Setting the photo down on the counter, he moved to stand behind her, arms wrapped comfortably around her as she munched on her chocolate. "Happy Valentine's day, indeed," he chuckled, pressing his lips to her hair.
